Ping Pong Go

Ping Pong Go strips table tennis down to what really shines on a video screen: anticipating the ball and hitting it back with your paddle in the proper place. Games are fast-paced, so every serve and every hit counts. It doesn't require you to press a lot of buttons, but the positioning of your paddle affects the angle and nature of every shot. Enemy levels bring variety by making the rallies faster and shots come from awkward angles. The game is simple to begin because the goal is clear, but longer rallies demonstrate the skill gap.

How to Play

Hold the paddle close to the middle of the table when you do not know which way the next ball is going to come. Start moving toward the ball earlier and hit it in front of the paddle rather than chasing it after it has passed its point of contact. Hit the ball at an angle in order to get the opponent out of the middle of the table, but avoid swinging too wildly, thus leaving your next side open. Get back into a neutral position after every shot. At fast levels, pay attention to the opponent's point of contact rather than only to the ball past the net.
