Short Life

The comedy in Short Life comes from threats that seem very clear but still manage to take the player by surprise. The obstacles of the course include spikes, blades, bombs, arrows, and trapdoors, all within small spaces where the character's ragdoll body responds with dramatic results at every mistake made. The point of the game is straightforward: Get to the end alive and with enough of yourself left to finish the level. Checkpoints help lessen the penalty, but they don't make the obstacles safe.

How to Play

Take your time when you encounter a new trap on screen. Take a short jump to make a short gap while saving your big jump for those obstacles which need distance. Make sure to crouch or crawl if blades or any other projectile makes a low trajectory, and wait for the traps to create an opportunity for you. It is better to reach a checkpoint rather than forcing yourself to take a shortcut. When you lose your balance near the obstacle, just stop the inputs until you regain control.
